High-quality hardware for a hammock deserves to feel as substantial as the hammock itself.
I put this kit together as a durable, clean-looking way to hang your hammock from solid wood posts and other suitable wood supports. The hardware is 304 stainless steel throughout and is especially well suited for outdoor installations using pressure-treated lumber.
The heavy-duty shouldered eye screws feature deep, aggressive wood threads that get a solid bite into the lumber. The shoulder seats firmly against the wood when properly installed, adding stability while giving the finished installation a strong, clean appearance.
The eye screws are paired with oversized stainless steel spring-gate carabiners. I chose the larger carabiners because they're substantial, easy to handle, make a great connection point for a hammock, and they simply look right with this hardware.
Each kit includes:
- 2 heavy-duty 304 stainless steel shouldered eye screws
- 2 oversized stainless steel spring-gate carabiners
- 1 properly sized pilot drill bit for installation
The included pilot bit makes it easier to prepare a snug pilot hole so the coarse threads can engage the wood properly. The result is a clean, straightforward hammock connection without a pile of unnecessary hardware.

About weight ratings: I don't publish a single weight rating for the complete installed system because the safe working capacity depends on more than the stainless hardware itself. The species, size and condition of the supporting wood, installation angle and depth, spacing, hammock geometry and quality of the structure all affect the load on the mounting points. Install only into sound, structurally suitable wood, follow proper installation practices, and inspect the hardware and supporting structure before every use.

Ships via UPS, generally once each week. Shipping is calculated at checkout and normally runs $15–$25.

I ship orders via UPS. Because of my rural location, packages need to be transported to a neighboring town for shipment. I generally ship once each week, usually on Wednesday. If you provide your email address when placing your order, UPS will send tracking information when your package enters its system.
If you need alternate shipping arrangements, please contact me before ordering and I’ll do my best to help.
Shipping is a flat $25 per order, regardless of order size or quantity.
Exchanges
I’ll gladly exchange your purchase for any reason.
I do not offer refunds.
My exchange policy lasts 30 days. If more than 30 days have passed since your purchase, I can’t offer an exchange.
To be eligible for an exchange, the item must be returned unused and in the same condition that you received it.
Gift cards are non-refundable.
To complete an exchange, I’ll need a receipt, proof of purchase, or order number.
Once the returned item is received and inspected, I’ll contact you to confirm whether the exchange is approved.

Between two trees
Choose two healthy, sturdy trees. Keep the straps flat against the bark and position them high enough to create a comfortable curve in the hammock. Do not pull the hammock guitar-string tight; a fabric hammock is generally more comfortable with visible sag.
Indoors or on a structure
A hammock can also be hung from properly installed structural anchors, posts, or a suitable stand. The attachment points must be capable of safely supporting the expected load in the direction the hammock pulls. If you are not certain about the structure or hardware, have the installation evaluated by someone qualified.
Before you get in
Inspect the hammock, straps, stitching, and hardware. Keep the area underneath clear and start with the hammock low to the ground while testing the setup. Avoid aggressive swinging and supervise children.
